Day 13:
And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
(Rev 5:13)
Dependence upon the grace of God does not make honoring him unnecessary. Instead, his great mercy calls us to honor him all the more, making him our heart’s desire. And knowing what pleases God and how to honor him provides much of the power we need to satisfy that desire.
That’s why studying God’s Word, learning from other believers, and listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit in our hearts are important disciplines for staying on the path that God designs for our lives. Simply knowing what blesses us and honors God is a sweet provision of his grace.
So, take a moment to listen and learn about the grace that God is speaking into your life and be blessed!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I study your Word this week, learn from other believers, and listen to the promptings of your Holy Spirit, please help me to honor you in everything I do or say.
