Day 29:

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have  overcome the world. (John 16:33)

Have you ever wondered how we know that God truly cares for us? The  answer to that question comes from his warning. God does not want us  to be unaware of his plan, so he gives us a heads up about events big and  small—past, present, and future. God cares enough to warn his people  throughout history, because he knows that faithlessness in a fallen world  is difficult.

It’s important to remember that we serve a big God who has any and  every issue under his control. So, we can trust that he will ultimately  provide a way out of our troubles and temptations. And in the moments  when the future seems unclear, take comfort in knowing he’s always  with you, even when the mysteries of this life, and the challenges you  face, seem overwhelming.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, sometimes the challenges of this world do  seem more than I can bear. Help me to rely on Christ’s promise that he  has overcome the world.
