Day 26:
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:15-16 NIV)
No matter what’s happening in our lives right now, we can be assured that our Heavenly Father is intimately involved in the details. And nowhere do I see this more clearly than in Daniel 11. In one of the most detailed and dramatic prophetic visions revealed in the Bible, we see the beautiful assurance that God knows the big picture. He knows all that is to come, and he cares and is concerned at all times and in all circumstances!
Scripture is specific: Our gracious God knows the beginning from the end. There are no mistakes. No surprises. The Psalmist writes, “All the days ordained for me, you knew before one of them came to be.” When you don’t know what the future holds, God says: I know, and I’ve got this.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being concerned about me at all times and in all circumstances. Help me to trust in your sovereign grace.
